Parte 1
A casa branca fica em frente à praia. A casa tem três andares. Do primeiro andar eu vejo a areia. Do segundo andar eu vejo o mar.
Parte 2
Eu vou para a sala, no primeiro andar. Eu abro a janela. O dia está bom. Está calor e não está vento. Eu vejo a areia da praia. É amarela e fina.
Parte 3
Eu vou para o meu quarto, no segundo andar. Eu abro a janela. Eu vejo o mar. É azul e brilhante.
Parte 4
Eu abro o segundo livro, e finalmente, o terceiro livro.
Parte 7
Eu abro a porta.
Parte 8
Eu também vejo um unicórnio no caminho. Ele olha para mim e abana a crista. Ele está a chamar-me. Eu entro e fecho a porta.
Parte 1
The white house is on the beachfront (in front of the beach). The house has three floors. From the first floor I see the sand. From the second floor I see the sea.
Parte 2
I go to the living room, on the first floor. I open the window. The day is fine. It’s hot and not windy. I see the beach’s sand. It’s yellow and fine.
Parte 3
I go to my room on the second floor. I open the window. I see the sea. It’s blue and bright.
Parte 4
In my room there is a desk. On my desk are my books. These are the books that I have to study.
Parte 5
I open the first book. I see the letters, the words and the sentences, but I can’t read them.
I open the second book, and finally, the third book. I’m looking, but I’m not seeing. I’m distracted.
Parte 6
Suddenly, I hear a noise. It sounds like a bird (it seems like the sound of a bird) on the third floor. I look up, but I don’t hear anything else.
Parte 7
I’m going to the attic, on the third floor. The attic has storage boxes and old things. I open the door. I don’t see the dark attic with the storage boxes and the old things. I see an enchanted forest. There are flowers of all colors, yellow, orange, red, blue and pink.
Parte 8
I also see a unicorn on the path. He looks at me and waves his crest. He’s calling me. I go in and close the door. Looks like I won’t be taking the test tomorrow.

Thank you for these free and very useful podcasts. Each serie is unique and entertaining. I use every episode to practise my listening, reading, writing and speaking skills in a manner that complementes my learning. For instance, an A1 level episode, I will start off by transcribing to English. B1 episodes I will start of by listening to over and over and over again, then use the content to practise all four elements of the language. Muito apreciado.
Muito obrigada, Pedre! It’s great to see that you are able to do so much with one episode. I always say that all you need is good content, and from there you can practice in a variety of different ways. 🙂
Good and nicely put together,
Having normal speed speach and slow speach is very helpfull, and nicely split up, especially with the translation.
I’ve still a long way to go though.
Obrigada. 🙂 Keep going, you’re doing great!
This is a great way to learn and correct those mis pronunciations that I sometimes get wrong! Working with the book at the same time is a big help and also the weekly news from the Academy is a fun way of learning.
Muito obrigado.
Obrigada, Mike! I’m glad to hear that you are making progress. 🙂
Bom dia! When you say ‘a crista’, which part of the unicorn do you mean? The horn (?o corno?), the mane (?a crina?) or something else? I love the stories, by the way, they are great for improving my listening skills and I add a few new words to my vocabulary. Obg
Olá Marco, I wanted to say crina (mane) and realized I said crista when I recorded the audio. I ended up leaving it in the text because I thought it was funny. Crista is what a rooster has, which I just realized is also called “comb” in English, correct?
